PREMIUM GLOBAL ELECTRIC MOBILITY TECHNOLOGY brand (as they like to define themselves) Zeekr has announced the official Australian debut of its two latest models at Everything Electric, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest EV and home energy show. The global expo brings together industry leaders, manufacturers, and experts to showcase how Australians can transition to an all-electric lifestyle.
At the three-day event and marking their first-ever public appearance in Australia, Zeekr will officially unveil the highly anticipated Zeekr 7X, a next-generation fast-charging SUV, and the Zeekr MIX, a versatile, tech- forward people mover. Both vehicles will be presented in left-hand drive (LHD) configuration.
Each model is equipped with Zeekr’s revolutionary Golden Battery technology, featuring an 800V architecture that enables ultra-fast charging. Designed with advanced thermal management and safety innovations, the Golden Battery sets a new benchmark for efficiency and reliability in electric vehicles, ensuring reliable performance even under extreme conditions.
In addition to the 7X and MIX, Zeekr’s lineup on the day will include the Zeekr 009 and Zeekr X, both available for test drives, as well as the Zeekr 001 FR and Zeekr 007. This lineup will offer attendees a comprehensive look at the brand’s cutting-edge EV technology and its commitment to high-performance, sustainable mobility.
Zeekr 7X
Combining superior comfort and high-tech performance the five-seater SUV is Zeekr’s most anticipated release of 2025. The 7X boasts an exceptionally spacious and comfortable interior with superior headroom and legroom compared to the existing midsize SUVs in the market, thanks to the high-tech mobility solution SEA architecture developed by Zeekr. With 32 compartments and a 616-litres of boot space the 7X is ready for any adventure.
The Zeekr 7X is equipped with silicon carbide-powered e-motors, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.8 seconds. The two battery sizes on offer 75kWh and 100kWh support driving ranges of 605 and 780 kilometers respectively.
Notably and most impressively Zeekr has made long distance travel seamless with the lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. Developed by Zeekr engineers the batteries boast the world’s fastest charging capability, charging vehicles from 10% to 80% SoC in just 10.5 minutes.
Deliveries of the Zeekr 7X are set to roll out in Australia in 2025. Date yet to be announced.
Zeekr MIX
The versatile, family-oriented Zeekr MIX reimagines the concept of an everyday vehicle. Challenging conventional automotive design, the Zeekr MIX combines capsule-style exterior and innovative interior design to maximise cabin space making it one of the most versatile cabins ever designed for a vehicle. The Zeekr MIX can transform into a lounge for card games with friends, a relaxing place to lay down and read, a comfortable fishing spot, or even a private yoga studio.
Industry-first double sliding doors on the vehicle provide a 1.48-meter-wide entrance, and vehicle floor height of just 390mm ensures easy access for passengers young and old. Through innovative damper structure design and suspension space optimisation, the Zeekr MIX’s front wheels can turn more than 50 degrees, allowing for a turning radius within five meters.
With safety a main priority, the Zeekr MIX features a hidden dual B-pillar design, with two ultra-high-strength steel pillars embedded within each door. This structure, crafted from 2000 megapascal hot-formed steel and fortified by a unique thickening process offers over 30 percent more strength than conventional hot-formed steel.
The Zeekr MIX comes standard with an enhanced 800V system. Two battery options are available to cater to different needs: a 76kWh LFP battery pack offers a range of 550 kilometres and a 102kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery pack offers a range of over 700 kilometres. As with the Zeekr 7X the LFP batteries allow vehicles to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 10.5 minutes.
Both the Zeekr 7X and Zeekr MIX will be unveiled and displayed alongside the full Zeekr fleet at Everything Electric, taking place from Friday, March 7 to Sunday, March 9, 2025. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the models and book test drive appointments for the Zeekr X and Zeekr 009 directly with Zeekr staff on-site.
