THE HYUNDAI i30 N really made people sit up and take notice. Hyundai is continuing its march into the performance arena with the third model in its high-performance line-up, the new i30 Fastback N, to be unveiled later this year.
Already in final stages of development, the new model is being extensively assessed on a variety of road surfaces around Europe, including the famous and challenging Nordschleife circuit at the Nürburgring in Germany where Hyundai has its own technical centre.
The i30 Fastback N will join the five-door i30 N and the Veloster N. The Fastback version of the i30 was launched earlier this year, the only five-door coupe in its segment (yes, we know that’s a contradiction in terms) and has not yet been released in (or, to the best of our knowledge, proposed for) Australia, but judging by the enthusiastic response to the i30 N five-door sibling, Hyundai Australia must be considering it.
