COMPLETELY REDESIGNED from the ground up, the all-new Audi A6 Sedan has undergone a substantial make-over with new engines, innovative connectivity and infotainment technology.
The new Audi design language gives the A6 Sedan a more athletic, impactful presence and a more aggressive look, whilst retaining its air of sophistication. Up front there’s the wide Singleframe grille and distinctive Matrix LED headlight signature, while the profile shows off taut, muscular flanks.
The interior of the all-new A6 is, as always, luxurious and elegant, while upping the ante with the very latest in technology and functionality. The new MMI operating concept dispenses with countless controls and switches for a clean, minimalist layout. The dual touchscreens (10.1- and 8.6-inch) have been designed as an integrated part of the dashboard, an aesthetic element with practical application. Haptic and acoustic feedback bring a familiar feel to new technology, while voice recognition and multifunction steering wheel provide the driver with even more options to control the A6 Sedan’s myriad functions.
The all-new A6 is also the first Australian Audi to feature Audi connect plus infotainment and connectivity functionality – to be officially launched on July 31st.
Before the end of the year, the new A6 line-up will consist of two petrol TFSI drivetrains: the 55 TFSI quattro, with its 250kW/500Nm 3.0-litre V6 engine, will make its debut at launch. Soon after, it will be joined by the A6 45 TFSI quattro, producing 180kW of power and 370Nm of torque between 1600 and 4500rpm.
Both engines feature Mild-Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology (MHEV), with the 55 TFSI and the 45 TFSI utilizing 48- and 12-volt systems respectively. The 48-volt system functions as the car’s main electrical system and allows power recuperation of up to 12kW, plus start-stop operation from 22km/h.
Both powerplants are mated to Audi’s seven-speed S tronic transmission, and with quattro all-wheel drive and progressive steering as standard across the range, the A6 Sedan delivers extraordinary grip and handling to match its performance.
The Audi A6 Sedan has been given a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, and it will arrive in Australia with the full suite of Audi driver assistance systems as standard, across the range:
