JAECOO HAS RELEASED DETAILS of its new J7, spearheaded by the SHS hybrid.
Designed for smarter, more efficient driving, it brings a balance of power and sustainability, reducing the carbon footprint without compromising on performance.
The elegant side mirror accent and power retractable door handles create a streamlined aesthetic, while Jaecoo’s signature waterfall grille adds a touch of timeless sophistication.
Under the skin is a fifth-generation 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 105kW/215Nm, while the single electric motor has 150kW and 310Nm of torque.
They send power to the front wheels via a single-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).
This Stepless Electric Hybrid System offers four driving modes – pure electric, series, parallel, and energy recovery.
Allowing drivers to enjoy pure electric operation at low speeds (ideal for city commutes under 40km/h) and efficient fuel performance at high speeds (above 80km/h), delivering the best of both worlds: powerful performance and minimal energy consumption.
Travelling up to 106km (NEDC) without charging, the Lithium Iron Phosphate battery has a capacity of 18.3kWh and can be charged from 30 to 80 percent at up to 40kW on a DC fast charger in only 20 minutes. Above 30 percent charge, the SHS can run as a pure EV up to speeds of 120km/h.
In hybrid mode, the two units work in unison to deliver a total driving range of 1200km.

Drivers can be at ease knowing there is a full suite of Advance Driving Assistance Systems including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking. There are also eight airbags protecting occupants from any unfortunate accidents.

Eight-year Warranty
Jaecoo will offer a comprehensive warranty period which covers the J7 for eight years and unlimited kilometres.
This also includes 12 months complimentary roadside assistance, with the opportunity of extending this for a further seven years by completing servicing at authorised Jaecoo dealers.
