Isuzu reintroduces the D-Max Tour Mate

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND (so they tell us), Isuzu UTE Australia is reintroducing the D-MAX TOUR MATE special edition. Available to order through participating dealerships nationwide from 1st August, the LS-U TOUR MATE and LS-U+ TOUR MATE adds more value to Australia’s third-bestselling ute, bundling commonly selected optional accessories at an attractive drive away price point – offering customers more than $6000 of added value (Isuzu UTE figures).

With motorists gravitating to the D-MAX for its payload and towing capability, as well as a vehicle that is easily customised and accessorised to suit specific uses and requirements, the TOUR MATE is a revitalised badge of the past, proving extremely popular with buyers when it was last offered in 2019. Guiding customers through the more than 120 optional accessories available for the D-MAX, the TOUR MATE packages the fitment of commonly chosen Isuzu UTE Genuine Accessories at a substantial discount.

The TOUR MATE package includes a tow bar tongue and 50mm ball, 12-pin wiring harness, electric brake controller, Clearview extendable heated and power-fold compact towing mirrors, a canopy with dual lift-up side windows, slimline weather shields, and unique TOUR MATE badging.

With the D-MAX LS-U TOUR MATE priced from $69,990 driveaway and the D-MAX LS-U+ TOUR MATE priced from $72,990 driveaway, the TOUR MATE bundles $9040 worth of genuine accessories into a compelling ‘adventure-ready’ driveaway package. Priced à la carte, the TOUR MATE package represents a minimum $6104 saving on the D-MAX LS-U and a minimum $6194 saving on the D-MAX LS-U+, which is dependent on the state or territory the vehicle is sold in.

“The reintroduction of the D-MAX TOUR MATE not only adds convenience by simplifying the accessory selection process, but it also offers customers unmatched value for money,” said Isuzu UTE Australia’s Deputy Managing Director, Mr Koichiro Yoshida.

“It’s an uncompromising combination of the most sought-after accessories historically chosen by Australian buyers – a package driven by sales data that bundles together what customers want – in a compelling package that offers three times the value for the same money.”

With the D-MAX a popular choice amongst motorists that tow and haul heavy loads, the additional 85kg of accessories make little difference to the payload capacity, providing 910kg and 905kg of available payload for the respective Isuzu D-MAX LS-U TOUR MATE and D-MAX LS-U+ TOUR MATE.

According to customer survey data, over half of Isuzu customers chose the D-MAX for its 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity. With the majority of D-MAX owners choosing it for its ability to tow, the TOUR MATE includes standard fitment of a tow bar tongue, 12-pin wiring harness and electric brake controller. Also included are Clearview extendable, heated and power-fold compact mirrors – an essential requirement in some states and territories.

Newly revised for the 2024 Isuzu UTE Genuine Accessories Catalogue, the included canopy features uncompromised storage security with shared locks across both dual lift-up side windows and rear window, a dual layer ABS shell, tinted windows all round and LED internal lighting.

Completing the TOUR MATE package is a set of slimline weather shields and exclusive ‘TOUR MATE’ special edition badging on the rear tailgate.

Available to order from 1st August 2024 from participating Isuzu UTE Dealers, each D-MAX LS-U TOUR MATE and D-MAX LS-U+ TOUR MATE is backed by Isuzu’s comprehensive Service Plus customer care program, encompassing a five-year Flat Price Servicing program at $449 per year/15,000km intervals, a six-year/150,000km warranty, and up to seven-years of roadside assistance.
