SPECIFICATIONS
Both Luxury and Sport offer near instantaneous torque and an impressive 388kW of power delivered via an all-wheel drive electric powertrain featuring a 102kWh battery capable of 530km between charges.
Showcase features found on both models include 21-inch alloy wheels, a curved 33-inch diagonal advanced LED display, an AKG Studio 19-speaker audio system and a full glass roof with power sunshade.
In both models, the driver is well catered for thanks to LYRIQ’s Ultium battery, which enables a near 50/50 weight distribution of the vehicle and a lower centre of gravity for a sporty, responsive, and spirited drive.
LUXURY & SPORT
Key differences between the two models are primarily found in aesthetic signatures. Luxury is crafted for a sophisticated journey and Sport is designed for expressive power and presence.
Luxury is adorned with chrome characteristics associated with understated elegance, while Sport is more performance-oriented and features a greater amount of dark trim.
“Passengers are equally well looked after, with the interior of the new model a place of beauty and opulence, ensuring passengers are safely cosseted in luxurious surrounds whenever they take to the road,” said Bala.
The additional elements on the Sport model are a different grille treatment with dark grille-bar finish, unique wheels with dark inserts, obsidian chrome finishes and dark accents on front & rear fascia, windows, and bodyside mouldings as well as body-colour door handles.
ULTIUM
At the heart of the Cadillac LYRIQ is GM’s Ultium battery – an innovative EV propulsion architecture with flexible, modular construction which spans Cadillac’s entire global EV portfolio, delivering outstanding power, range, and performance.
Acceleration is dynamic, with near instant torque delivering a thrilling driving experience and the distribution of battery weight across the floor of the vehicle provides sure footed and comfortable handling.
LYRIQ’s Ultium Battery Platform and Ultium Drive System offer drivers a feeling of balance and agility – attributes that affirm Cadillac’s long-standing commitment to satisfying performance, resulting in outstanding launch and passing acceleration, plus dynamic but comfortable ride and handling.
A five-link independent suspension with Passive-Plus Premium Dampers delivers a sublime ride and handling experience, either as part of a spirited drive or with a full complement of passengers onboard.
A fast charge is capable of delivering up to 128km of range in 10 minutes.
EXTERIOR
The LYRIQ is a harmonious combination of sculptural and fluid surfaces. The beauty of LYRIQ is contained in clarity of statement: It is effortless, and distilled.
With LYRIQ, exterior design is no longer limited by the constraints of internal combustion engines, such as air flow requirements of the grille. This allows designers to design with far fewer constraints.
A full glass roof stretches through to the roof spoiler, which is a key design feature as well as an enabler for aerodynamics.
Exterior features common to both models include a Black Crystal front grille, a dual panel power sunroof, a Hands-Free Liftgate, open and close with programmable memory height and Cadillac branded projection light.
LYRIQ offers several contemporary colour options including Crystal White Tricoat, Stellar Black Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, Emerald Lake Metallic, Celestial Metallic, Nimbus Metallic, Opulent Blue Metallic.
INTERIOR
The LYRIQ interior is centred around the theme of ‘graceful interaction,’ which focuses on how the customer interacts with the vehicle at every touch point. The goal is to create a partnership between the customer and the vehicle, where the vehicle can seamlessly improve the drivers experience.
The interior is clean and distilled with a focus on attention to detail with the secondary and tertiary design elements. These include specific Cadillac knurling etched on all components, the use of intricate back-lit laser etched patterns in interior décor design through to detailing inside the vents, which emphasises the idea of high design even in the smallest of areas.
And Cadillac has paid homage to the brand’s heritage with iconic crests throughout the decades hidden in the details of the interior. The luxury and heritage of the interior is further emphasised with the Cadillac scripture on the sill plates, seen as customers step in and out of the vehicle.
A standout feature of the new Cadillac LYRIQ is the AKG Studio 19-speaker system, which includes front row headrest speakers.
Further luxury touches are delivered by way of interior lighting with 126-colours available as part of a dual-zone customisation system.
The two front seats offer power lumbar massage and are ventilated and heated, as are the two outboard seats in the second row, while tri-zone automatic climate control ensures the interior of the Cadillac LYRIQ is a pleasant place for all occupants.
LYRIQ is also a place of supreme quietness, thanks to the combination of several noise-cancelling elements, including Cadillac’s next-generation Active Noise Cancellation system.
Next-generation Active Noise Cancellation actively monitors road noise inputs and uses LYRIQ’s AKG 19 speaker sound system to mitigate road-induced noise. The system takes data from the vehicle’s accelerometer sensors in each wheel, allowing it to calibrate noise cancellation to expected road impacts the suspension experiences.
LYRIQ’s wheels were designed to strict stiffness requirements, which improves road noise isolation as well as handling.
A 33-inch diagonal advanced LED display enhances Cadillac’s user experience system and integrates the driver information centre, navigation and infotainment systems, with the single large screen spanning the viewing area of the driver.
The infotainment system also provides a customisable user interface designed to deliver a flexible, high-end user experience that Cadillac customers desire. Users will be able to select display themes to fit their mood and/or personality, as the LED display has the ability to display over one billion potential colours.
LYRIQ’s luxury interior colour options include Noir with Santorini Blue accents and Inteluxe seat trim with perforated inserts, Sky Cool Grey with Santorini Blue accents and Inteluxe seat trim with perforated inserts, Oxford Stone with Garnet accents and full Leather seat trim with perforated inserts, or Juniper with Sky Cool Grey accents and full Leather seat trim with perforated inserts.
A Nappa leather package is optional on each of the two models and consists of first and second row Nappa leather seats, Nappa leather armrests, soft-wrapped upper instrument panel and door trim with Dark Ash cluster decor trim with backlit door accents. The Nappa leather package is included and only available with interior colours Oxford Stone or Juniper.
SAFETY & SECURITY
The Cadillac LYRIQ features a full suite of airbags, including dual-stage frontal, seat-mounted side-impact for driver and front passenger, knee for driver and front passenger, head-curtain for all outboard seating positions with rollover protection.
Additional innovative safety features include Blind Zone Steering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Alert, all of which help the driver transport passengers safely.
Inclusions consist of HD Surround Vision, Rear Pedestrian Alert, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking and outside heated power-adjustable, power folding and driver side auto-dimming mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators and puddle lamps.
