WE ALL KNOW CAR companies can find any number of reasons to release an anniversary model, but 50 years of the BMW performance division M is more worthy than most.
BMW Australia has confirmed the BMW M4 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M for the Australian market in Q4, 2022.

The edition will feature Brands Hatch Grey metallic paintwork paired with stunning 19-inch/20-inch style 826 M light alloy wheels in matte GoldBronze to add to its sporty character. The eye-catching wheels first made their debut on the legendary BMW M5 CS late last year.
M Carbon package is fitted as standard and includes various CFRP (carbon fibre) components, such as the diffuser and rear spoiler which underlines its racing intent.

The icing on the cake for the exterior aesthetic is the replacement of the traditional BMW roundel with 50 years of M emblems on the bonnet, tailgate and wheel centres.
Bespoke ‘Edition 50 Jahre BMW M’ lettering decorates various touchpoints including door sills and head rest, as well as a high-quality metal plaque situated on the centre console to underscore its exclusivity.
The special anniversary edition is based on the current generation BMW M4 Competition M xDrive which offers 375kW of power and 650Nm of torque on tap. This allows it to complete the standard sprint from 0-100 km/h in a rapid 3.5 seconds.
M4 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M offers the following equipment in addition to the standard BMW M4 Competition M xDrive specification:
- M Compound Brake, red high-gloss
- M Carbon bucket seats
- M Carbon exterior pack
- M Drivers Package – increase of top speed to 290 km/h and complimentary BMW M Driving Experience Advance 2 course
