KIA AUSTRALIA HAS AIRED the follow-up to their ‘Kia’s Getting a Ute’ campaign and has once again called on a cavalry of Aussie greats to confirm their most Australian product ever is arriving in Kia dealer showrooms mid-year.
The story continues with a tale that features some of Australia’s biggest sporting legends, Buck the Brisbane Bronco’s mascot and for the first time in Australia, the mighty Kia Tasman ute.
This latest instalment follows the Tasman’s global reveal in October, preceded by the local ‘Kia’s Getting a Ute’ campaign, which saw the Tasman name teased and revealed in a duo of ads featuring a group of 20 iconic Australian sporting figures.
The new campaign TVC launches nationally during the opening game of the NRL season.
Designed to compete in one of the industry’s largest segments, the Tasman marks a significant milestone for Kia Australia.
From concept design, naming decisions, focus group studies and extensive benchmarking tests, Kia Australia as played a pivotal role in shaping the Tasman, ensuring it meets the demands of our unique market.
As a true light commercial vehicle, the Tasman will offer essential capabilities, including a one-tonne payload, 3.5-tonne towing capacity and Integrated Trailer Brake Control (ITBC) – key features that are simply non-negotiable.
The Tasman is no exception when it comes to Kia Australia’s rigorous local ride and handling tune program and ensures all variants will be perfectly suited to our unique on and off-road driving conditions.
Powered by the proven and capable R2.2 Turbo Diesel engine and paired with an 8-speed torque converter transmission, the Tasman is built for durability and longevity.
Its advanced 4WD system includes a Low-Range Transfer Case, Rear Differential Lock, and an intelligent Traction Control System – delivering exceptional capability for serious off-road adventures.
The Tasman will be available in Dual Pick Up, Double Cab Chassis and Single Cab Chassis body styles with combinations of various trims across 4×4 and 4×2 drivetrains.
The Kia Tasman will commence launching locally from mid-2025.
