VW Tiguan returns from under $35,000

INTENDING BUYERS OF the competent Volkswagen Tiguan have been out of luck for the past 18 months thanks to production constraints but the plucky SUV is set to return to showrooms in September, priced from between $35,000 and $40,000 (before on roads and options).

The multiple Car of The Year award-winning Tiguan 110TSI Trendline, Tiguan 110TSI Comfortline and the seven seat Tiguan Allspace 110TSI Comfortline will be welcomed back by the many Tiguan fans.

“The return of our most affordable SUV for the moment means that the leading vehicle of its type is once more available at all price points in its segment,” Volkswagen Australia Director of Customer Experience and Marketing Jason Bradshaw said.

“With the imminent arrival of the broader Touareg range to be followed early next year by the T-Cross and T-Roc, Volkswagen’s SUV family will be completed. Volkswagen has substantially retained its market share despite massive constraints on the supply of current model SUVs and long waiting lists for new models.”
