VOLKSWAGEN IS DELIVERING A THREE-tier, technology packed T-Cross compact SUV range priced from $33,990 (plus on road costs) or a national $34,990 driveaway.
The entry T-Cross Life combines 200Nm of torque, a sliding rear seat and 455 litre boot volume with a significant features upgrade – including adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous Travel Assist, Lane Assist with active centring, Side Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Proactive Occupant Protection System, LED headlights, wireless smartphone charging and Digital Cockpit.
The T-Cross Style is priced from $37,490 (plus on road costs), delivering additional design and technology touches – including IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlights with adaptive high-beam, leatherette dash and door inserts, illuminated grille strip, Digital Cockpit Pro with map displays and wireless App-Connect as standard.
For the first time a grade in its own right, the new T-Cross R-Line is priced from $40,990 (plus on road costs) – adding R-Line exterior and interior styling, 18-inch Misano alloy wheels, driving profile selection including Sport mode, dark tinted side and rear window glass and Beats premium audio system as standard.
Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles head of product Michelle Rowney said the upgraded T-Cross provides unique selling points no other compact SUV can match.
“The T-Cross maintains the effortless performance, excellent efficiency and superb packaging for which the compact SUV is renowned,” Ms Rowney said.
“Combine these virtues with style and features upgrades plus sharp entry drive-away pricing, and the upgraded Volkswagen T-Cross blends youthful design, latest technology and strong value like no other compact SUV.”
The only option for the upgraded T-Cross range is metallic or pearl effect paint ($600) or the R-Line-exclusive Kings Red Metallic ($900).
Three- and five-year Service Packs will be available along with the standard Volkswagen five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
The upgraded Volkswagen T-Cross will be available in dealerships mid-July.
