VOLKSWAGEN AUSTRALIA’S TOP SELLING vehicles – the Amarok and T-Roc – now gain a $3000 factory bonus in their most potent, turbocharged petrol flagship grades until September 30.
Volkswagen is securing more production of the flagship Amarok Aventura TSI452 ute, and is delivering a $3000 factory bonus (VW prices) off the drive-away price on all MY23 (normally $79,990 plus on road costs) and MY24 examples.
Volkswagen is also landing additional MY23 examples of the flagship T-Roc R compact performance SUV. Priced from $61,990 (plus on road costs), the MY23 T-Roc R now features a national $64,990 drive-away offer plus a further $3000 factory bonus. For MY24 T-Roc – adding Beats audio and power tailgate as standard – the national $66,990 drive-away offer features a further $1500 factory bonus.
Globally, Australia is the number one market for both Amarok and T-Roc R – which also remain the top selling products during the first half of 2024.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles national manager of product and marketing Nathan Johnson said the additional Amarok Aventura TSI452 production provides customers with the ultimate in Volkswagen design and Amarok dynamics.
“The second-generation Amarok has been a hit with fleet and private customers alike, especially with the Style TDI600 making up more than half of sales,” Mr Johnson said.
“Although we are on target for our 10,000 annual sales allocation, Volkswagen understands that a higher numbers of customers desire the flagship Aventura.”
“The TSI452 with 21-inch wheels and a sophisticated suspension set-up in particular represents the essence of what the Amarok has always been known for – the best handling, most driver-focused ute in its class.”
Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles head of product Michelle Rowney said the T-Roc R has captured the hearts and minds of Australia’s enthusiast performance market by blending the best attributes of ‘hot hatch’ and SUV.
“With zero to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and the precision of 4Motion all-wheel drive packaged within the T-Roc’s compact yet spacious form, this R is classically fast, fun and functional,” Ms Rowney said.
“The ability to deliver an even higher number of T-Roc Rs means that we are able to offer even greater value as supply increases.
“The T-Roc R offer can save more than $7,000 and – with IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlamps, Nappa leather trim, heated front seats and more – it surpasses even the high value Volkswagen offered with last year’s T-Roc R Grid Edition.”
The Volkswagen Amarok Aventura TSI452 utilises a 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine with 222kW of power and 452Nm of torque, making it the most powerful ute with 3.5 tonne towing. A significant 6200kg gross combined mass (GCM) also ensures performance meets practicality.
More than 100kg lighter than the Aventura TDI600, the Aventura TSI452 delivers the refinement Volkswagen customers have long experienced in the brand’s SUV range, along with the sharp dynamics Amarok customers expect.
The fully featured Amarok Aventura includes IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlamps, Aventura-branded sail plane with electronic roll cover and power tailgate lock, Savona leather seats with 10-way front seat power adjustment and heating, stitched leather-look dashboard and door inserts, 12.3-inch Digital Cockpit, 12-inch centre screen with Area View, premium Harmon/Kardon audio and more.
The Volkswagen T-Roc R utilises a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four cylinder with 221kW and 400Nm plus a 7-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG).
Four wheel ventilated disc brakes, progressive steering and lowered sports suspension with adaptive dampers combine with 4Motion all-wheel drive and 19-inch alloy wheels and tyres to deliver the ultimate in sports SUV handling.
Standard equipment in the T-Roc R includes IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlamps, Nappa leather appointed upholstery, heated front seats, power adjustable driver’s seat, Digital Cockpit Pro with driver map displays and 9.2-inch Discover Pro media system.
