THE NEW HONDA HR-V HAS BEEN confirmed for the Australian market and an additional Hybrid grade will be offered, bolstering the hybrid options for consumers. The new model features Honda’s advanced e:HEV two-motor hybrid powertrain, providing an optimal balance of fuel efficiency and dynamic performance.
“Building on the HR-V’s existing strengths, this newly refreshed model represents a sophisticated and intelligent small SUV, with premium quality, advanced in car technology including improved Honda SENSING and Honda Connect as standard”, said Honda Australia’s Vice President and Director, Carolyn McMahon.
“With the arrival of this refreshed HR-V, we are excited to be expanding our hybrid offering to Australian consumers with the introduction of a new hybrid variant at a lower price point. We are confident that the new e:HEV X grade will appeal to a broader audience.”
The new HR-V offering will include three grade options to choose from, including the petrol Vi X, the NEW e:HEV X and the higher-grade e:HEV L.
New colours include Slate Grey and Botanical Green.

The new HR-V features advanced active safety features, including the Honda SENSING suite that offers occupants additional support and an enhanced driving experience. All-new features include Traffic Jam Assist and Adaptive Driving Beam (available only on the e:HEV grades).
The below features in the Honda Sensing safety suite have been improved in this new model:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow
- Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
The new HR-V will now come with the Honda Connect mobile application and server platform, offering 5 years free subscription with every purchase.
