THE FIRST SHIPMENT OF MY25 POLESTAR 2 variants has officially arrived in Australia with more standard equipment and new sub-Luxury Car Tax (LCT) pricing.
The updated MY25 Polestar 2 welcomes new standard features, new exterior colours, new wheel designs, and interior improvements, while also benefiting from a price re-alignment as part of the 2025 model year changeover. All Polestar 2 variants will be available under the LCT threshold.
The Polestar 2 range will now start from $62,400 (plus on road costs) for the Standard range Single motor variant, and the flagship Polestar 2 Long range Dual motor with Performance Pack is priced from $80,380 (plus on road costs).
Head of Polestar Australia, Scott Maynard, said the arrival of the Polestar 2 kickstarts a time of unprecedented growth for the Swedish electric performance car brand in Australia.
“We are excited to welcome the 2025 Polestar 2 fastback to Australia and are thrilled that we can now meet customer demand for the incoming model.”
“The timing of Polestar 2’s arrival adds further momentum to our transformation from a one-car to a three-car brand locally, particularly as we prepare for the opening of Polestar’s new multi-level flagship Sydney North Space on September 12.”
“We’ll also start to welcome customers for test drives and handovers of Polestar 3 in our Spaces around Australia, which will mark Polestar’s first foray into the competitive SUV segment.”
Pricing for the all-new Polestar 4 SUV Coupé has also been adjusted to launch below the LCT threshold when it arrives in November. The Polestar 4 Long range Single motor will now start at $78,500 and the Polestar 4 Long range Dual motor from $88,350 (both plus on road costs).
Mr. Maynard said the pricing realignment was an important step to continue to drive electric vehicle (EV) uptake in Australia and ensure Polestar remains top-of-mind for EV buyers.
