PEUGEOT HAS RELEASED its plans for Australia’s first Peugeot passenger electric vehicle, with today marking the start of pre-orders on the e-2008 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Bringing more choice to the fast-growing small SUV segment, the e-2008 is set to enhance the allure of the 2008 nameplate by offering customers a fully electric powertrain alongside the well-regarded internal combustion local range.
Priced at $59,990 (plus on road costs), the e-2008 is set to appear in showrooms in Q3, 2023 with a limited initial allocation.
Equipped with a 50kWh battery, a 100kW electric motor and 260Nm of torque, the e-2008 provides a range of 328km.
Indicative charging times for the e-2008 via the 50kWh battery capacity include:
- Approximately thirty minutes rapid charge from 0-80 percent capacity via a DC Current (100kW)
- Approximately five hours from 0-100 percent capacity via a three Phase 16A Wallbox (11kW)
- Approximately seven hours and thirty minutes from 0-100 percent capacity via a single Phase 32A Wallbox (7.4kW)

The Peugeot 2008 is a premium small SUV that is ideally suited to urban adventures and designed with the modern landscape in mind. The e-2008 not only offers the choice of electric motor benefits but also the intense appeal of the Peugeot design philosophy.
The addition of the e-2008 further enhances the range’s desirability for city driving with an impressive list of standard equipment including comprehensive safety features, keyless entry with push-button start and proximity locking, gloss black and dual chrome highlights with striking feline front styling and triple claw rear LED lights. Distinctive features for the e-2008 include horizontal body colour coded front grille slats and exclusive e-badging on the front quarter and rear of the vehicle.
Stepping inside the cabin, the e-2008 features the signature Peugeot i-Cockpit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Customers can choose between six paint colours including:
- Orange Fusion – standard option
- Nera Black – metallic paint – ($690)
- Artense Grey – metallic paint – ($690)
- Vertigo Blue – premium paint – ($1050)
- Elixir Red – premium paint – ($1050)
- Pearl White – premium paint – ($1050)
The e-2008 will come with a five-year/ unlimited kilometre warranty and five-year roadside assistance.
The e-2008 will also benefit from Peugeot’s five-year Service Price Promise program.

Aimed at providing customers with a simple and flexible approach to servicing their Peugeot with certainty and peace of mind, Pre-Paid Service Plans will also be available to purchase as three or five scheduled services packages on the e-2008, with the plan commencing from the warranty start date.
