Peugeot facelifts 2008 small SUV

PEUGEOT HAS INTRODUCED THE facelifted Peugeot 2008, a vehicle that exemplifies, it says, the brand’s commitment to technological innovation and alluring style.

The facelifted 2008 has arrived in Australia in two internal combustion engine (ICE) variants, the Allure and GT, with the MY24 E-2008 set to arrive at a later date, with more information to be shared in due course. Customers who are looking for an electric 2008 SUV don’t need to wait, with the current E-2008 available in Peugeot retailers nationwide now.

A reinvented design

Style has been at the heart of its success since the launch of the Peugeot 2008. The next step for the Peugeot design team was to further strengthen its character by scaling up its SUV status and making an alluring statement about its move upmarket.

Customers of the Peugeot 2008 are drawn in first and foremost by its strong design, generally described as elegant, powerful, and alluring.

The updated three-claw daytime running lamp design illuminates the road ahead with sophistication, while the newly designed front grille, featuring slats colour-coded to the body colour, enhances the vehicle’s sleek profile. Additionally, the rear lights boast a striking 3D effect, adding a touch of dynamism to the vehicle’s rear facade.

Incorporating meticulous attention to detail, the facelifted Peugeot 2008 features a new font style and matte black colour for all badging, including the door sill font for the GT variant. The Peugeot logo adorns both the front grille and steering wheel, symbolising the brand’s heritage and modernity.

The exhaust pipes have been upgraded with chrome trim, adding a touch of sophistication to the vehicle’s exterior. The door mirrors now feature Nera black colouring, exuding a sense of sleek modernity.

Rounding out the enhancements, the petrol Allure and GT variants of the Peugeot 2008 are now equipped with stylish 17-inch Karakoy Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels, further accentuating the vehicle’s dynamic appeal.

Innovative Peugeot i-Cockpit

A key element of the cabin, the Peugeot i-Cockpit has been improved upon and modernised with the new 2008, to optimise its ergonomics and driving pleasure.

Inside the cabin, there’s the refined elegance of the new trims adorning the seats and interior touchpoints, elevating both comfort and aesthetics.

Drivers and passengers will appreciate the upgraded 10-inch HD touchscreen, offering enhanced clarity and responsiveness. To provide entertainment during downtime, the infotainment system now features ‘while you wait’ games such as ‘TicTacToe’, ‘HangMan’, and ‘2048’. Moreover, the infotainment software has been upgraded to the latest version, delivering seamless connectivity and an enhanced user experience.

For added convenience, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is now wireless, and the USB connectivity has been upgraded to faster USB-C ports, with one USB A port remaining available in the rear for charging purposes. Wireless smartphone charging is available in the GT variant.

Ideally located at eye level, just above the steering wheel, the new 2008’s instrument cluster is digital, and the new-design 10-inch digital display is 3D on GT variants.

For GT variants, with the addition of an ambient lighting strip on the passenger side of the front dash that now linked to drive mode, the interior ambiance is heightened, setting the stage for an immersive driving experience.

Elevated Convenience and Safety Technology

For the discerning drivers seeking elevated comfort and style, the Peugeot 2008 now boasts an array of premium features to enhance the driving experience.

With the addition of front parking sensors (previously only available in the rear), manoeuvring in tight spaces is now easier and stress-free.

Enhancing both convenience and safety, the facelifted Peugeot 2008 now includes close obstacle detection as part of its reversing parking system, while the HD reversing camera provides improved visibility when manoeuvring.

Proximity locking/unlocking means accessing the vehicle has never been more convenient.

Furthermore, connected services such as connected navigation and over-the-air firmware updates are now available, enhancing the overall driving experience.

The GT variant also boasts new full LED style headlights, providing exceptional visibility and enhancing the vehicle’s striking presence on the road. And for unparalleled convenience on long journeys, Adaptive Cruise Control ensures a smooth and effortless driving experience, adapting to traffic conditions to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.

With these exciting updates, the facelifted Peugeot 2008 enhances its presence in the compact SUV segment with alluring style, innovation, and driving enjoyment.
