THE NEW PATHFINDER ST-L HAS ARRIVED in Nissan showrooms, unlocking accessible adventure for even more Australians as a new entry-point for Nissan’s family-friendly SUV.
The ST-L joins the Ti and flagship Ti-L in Nissan’s three-grade Pathfinder family, reducing the entry point to the range to below $60,000 – more than $12,000 less than the previous starting point.
Available in both 2WD and 4WD, the ST-L joins another reintroduced entrant for 2024, the Ti 2WD, to bring the total number of grades and driving configurations in the Pathfinder family to five.
“With a history that spans nearly four decades, the inspiration for the current generation Nissan Pathfinder can be traced back to the original version which first landed in Australia in 1987. The latest generation Pathfinder boasts a bold, truck-like grille with a squared-off profile like the original model and now with a premium cabin incorporating high levels of safety and technology,” says Nissan Australia Marketing Director, Sriram Padmanabhan.
“We’re thrilled to be able to unlock the fun and adventure a Pathfinder provides for even more people through the new ST-L and Ti 2WD grades – delivering more choice to the Australian consumer, and ensuring the Pathfinder is a value-packed proposition, no matter which model you choose.”
Though it acts as an entry point to the Pathfinder family, the ST-L feels anything but entry level, with a generous equipment and safety list, and the confidence of a powerful-yet-efficient petrol V6 engine.
That includes 18-inch alloy wheels, dusk-sensing LED headlights with High Beam Assist and daytime running lights, LED front fog lights, a powered tailgate and roof rails.
In the cabin, the Pathfinder ST-L is equipped with a 7.0-inch TFT Advanced Drive-Assist Display, 10.8-inch Head-Up Display and 9.0-inch touchscreen with navigation, inbuilt Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, and four USB ports. Heated front seats and tri-zone air-conditioning ensure ultimate comfort in every seat.
Like the rest of the Pathfinder range, the ST-L is equipped with Nissan’s powerful direct-injection 3.5-litre petrol V6 (202kW at 6400rpm and 340Nm at 4800rpm), paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Capability is assured, too, with a 2.7-tonne braked towing capacity, while the Drive and Terrain Mode Selector can shift between Standard, Sport, Eco, Snow and Tow modes in 2WD models, while 4WD models add Mud and Sand modes.
