Range Overview

The i30 is available in a dynamic two-trim line-up, with both grades featuring a mild hybrid 1.5 T-GDi powertrain paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission.

Powertrain

The i30 brings a hybrid powertrain to the model for the first time. The petrol/electric mild hybrid system enhances efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions.

The powertrain pairs a 1.5 T-GDi petrol engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, driving the front wheels via a 7-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission, and is offered for both N Line and N Line Premium grades.

SmartStream 1.5 T-GDi Mild Hybrid

SmartStream engine technologies are developed with a focus on reduced fuel consumption and emissions, and enhanced performance. This ideology is applied to every part of the ‘Stream’ – from the air and fuel injected into the engine, to the power delivered to the wheels via the transmission.

The 2025 i30’s SmartStream 1.5 T-GDi petrol engine, takes the form of technologies such as Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT), which underpins an optimal balance of power and efficiency.

The SmartStream 1.5 T-GDi unit delivers 117KW at ,500rpm and 253Nm from 1500 to 3500rpm.

7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission

The 7-Speed computer-controlled Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) in i30 combines the fuel efficiency and acceleration benefits of a manual transmission with the driving ease of an automatic.

The DCT lets the driver choose between entirely automatic operation or sequential manual gear changing and, compared with a conventional six-speed automatic, delivers a 20 percent fuel efficiency improvement and reduced CO2 emissions.

Mild Hybrid System Operation

The i30 showcases the innovative 48-volt mild hybrid system which complements the combustion engine by providing electric motor assistance during various driving stages, to the benefit of fuel efficiency, emissions and responsiveness.

The mild hybrid system provides assistance during the initial tip-in and acceleration phases, can act as a generator during steady driving, and recuperates energy during overrun and braking.

The system also lets the petrol engine switch off when coasting at low speeds, as part of a sustainable driving experience.

Exterior

The i30’s refreshed exterior gives the model a newly bold and powerful stance.

Key updates include a revised front grille featuring floating dark metal wings designed to enhance aerodynamic performance, flanked by Multi-Face Reflector LED headlamps with V-shaped daytime running lights that create a strong presence.

New side skirts featuring a dark finish garnish accentuate i30’s dynamic profile while the newly designed N Line 18-inch alloy wheels convey a sense of dynamism.

A new dynamic rear bumper design showcases wide diffusers and twin exhaust tips to make a sporty statement, and features fog lights that lower the visual centre of gravity, giving i30 a fresh, sporty image from every angle.

i30 also features LED puddle lights, privacy glass for the rear door and tailgate, and Hyundai’s new 2D-style flat badging, applied to the front and rear to accentuate its modern look.

i30 is offered in a selection of seven exterior colours, including four new colours.

These include the solid colours Atlas White and Shadow Grey, Sailing Blue, Ultimate Red and Shimmering Silver Metallic, and Abyss Black and Cypress Green Mica.

Interior

The i30 brings an updated driver-focused cockpit packed with comfort, convenience and safety technologies.

The centrepiece is a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, which displays an array of driving information to keep the driver connected at all times.

The dashboard has been enhanced with a new soft paint, which brings a higher-quality look and feel, while the centre console sports a stylish gloss black finish, which creates an appealing contrast with the sporty red detailing on the front seats and the red bezel of the start/stop button.

Updated front N Line Sport Seats in Oceanids Black Synthetic suede/leather provide superb comfort and support with standard power lumbar support and extendable seat cushions.

N Line Premium variants bring further appeal with the addition of a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, the convenience of Bluelink Connected Car Services and Over the Air (OTA) update capability, a 12-way powered memory driver’s seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof.

Completing a thoughtfully appointed cabin in every i30 are a sliding centre console armrest, 2D aluminium steering wheel badging, and twin rear USB-C ports, to keep everyone connected.

Safety

Hyundai SmartSense

2025 i30 is fitted with a comprehensive suite of enhanced Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) as standard, including the new features Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Multi-Collision Braking (MCB), Highway Driving Assist (HAD) and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC).

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) alerts the driver to the presence of traffic in the blind-spot area, using a radar sensor in the lower rear bumper. When a turn signal is engaged, BCW will sound an acoustic alert and can apply braking assistance to help prevent a collision.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)

The Driver Attention Warning system alerts the driver when it identifies a driving pattern that indicates they are tired or distracted. DAW operates above 64km/h and uses the windscreen-mounted camera to continually monitor the vehicle’s position in the lane, while tracking steering and brake pedal use, as well as the time since the driver took a break.

Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA-JT)

Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning alerts the driver and provides automatic braking assistance when there is a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or bicycle. The system uses the windscreen-mounted camera and front radar to detect sudden braking by the car ahead, or the presence of pedestrians or bikes.

In addition, if, when turning left at an intersection, there is a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle, the vehicle will apply emergency braking.

High Beam Assist (HBA)

High Beam Assist lets i30 scan the road for the lights of vehicles ahead, to automatically adjust the headlights from high to low beam and back, and avoid dazzling the occupants of other vehicles.

Highway Driving Assist (HDA) – N Line Premium variant

Highway Driving Assist uses the windscreen-mounted camera, radar and navigation data, to assist the driver to maintain a set speed and distance from the vehicle ahead, while keeping i30 centred in the lane.

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA)

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist combines road sign recognition – using the windscreen-mounted camera – with navigation data, to inform the driver of the current speed limit.

If the recognised speed limit changes during Smart Cruise Control or Manual Speed Limit Assist operation, a corresponding increase or decrease speed message is displayed in the cluster – and on the HUD – prompting the driver to adjust the set speed using the +/- SCC steering wheel buttons, to stay within the speed limit.

Lane Following Assist (LFA)

Lane Following Assist provides steering assistance to keep 2025 i30 centred in the lane. If the vehicle strays from the lane without a turn signal engaged, the system will issue audible and visual warnings.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

Lane Keeping Assist uses the windscreen-mounted camera to detect lane markings and vehicles ahead, to help keep 2025 i30 centred in the lane by providing steering assistance as required.

Multi-Collision Braking (MCB)

Multi-Collision Braking helps prevent occupants from secondary collisions after an initial impact. The system works by automatically applying the brakes after the airbags are deployed.

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) – N Line Premium variant

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control brings further SCC functionality to help maintain a safe speed on highways and motorways. The system recognises the vehicle ahead using the windscreen-mounted camera and front radar, and determines the safe speed range for curves ahead using the navigation system.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist underpins safe reversing manoeuvres in situations where the driver doesn’t have a clear view. The system will alert the driver if a vehicle is approaching from the side and can automatically apply the brakes if needed.

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) – Logic Type

The Rear Occupant Alert system provides warnings to prevent the unintentional locking in or leaving behind of children or pets.

When active, the system detects the entry of occupants from the opening and closing of the rear doors. Upon parking and opening the driver’s door, ROA issues a warning chime and prompts the driver with a message to ‘Check rear seats’, to ensure rear occupants are not inadvertently left behind.

Safe Exit Warning (SEW)

The Safe Exit Warning system detects vehicles approaching from the rear to provide visual and audible warnings when it may be unsafe for occupants to exit the vehicle.

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC w/ S&G)

Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go automatically maintains a safe distance to the vehicle ahead, up to a speed pre-set by the driver.

The system uses the front radar sensor to detect the speed of, and distance to vehicles ahead travelling the same direction and lane, and brings the further capability to automatically come to a stop, and then accelerate back to the set speed when required.
