Mini makes EV ownership easier

MINI AUSTRALIA HAS LAUNCHED an enticing Dynamic Mobility Package that eases would-be electric vehicle (EV) owners into the progressive world of EV ownership.

The Mini Dynamic Mobility Package for the acclaimed Electric Hatch bundles peripheral hardware and owner benefits into a simple four-year finance offering, with the option to hand back the car after two.

It includes the advanced Mini Wallbox system and cables for charging the vehicle at public stations. The Mini Wallbox can achieve an 80 percent charge for the Mini Electric Hatch in less than four hours, enhancing convenience for owners at their place of residence or work.

A five-year Mini Service Inclusive package and a five-year Mini Roadside Assistance is also included to further streamline the process of running and maintaining the vehicle.

An additional feature provides owners an annually-renewable option to swap out their city-slicking Electric Hatch for a long-haul capable Countryman to take for a weekend away.

Owners can choose to hand back the vehicle at no additional cost at each 24-month checkpoint, an element designed to provide flexibility should personal circumstances change. Instalments on the second 24-month window are also significantly reduced.

The Mini Electric Dynamic Mobility Package becomes available just as the first deliveries of the fully electric Mini begin in Australia. Interest in the new model has reached an all-time high since its recent market launch.

“We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback and constant enquiries about the Mini Electric Hatch, which is a welcome reminder of how well it fits the brief as a city-friendly, environmentally-focused EV that also delivers Mini’s signature go-kart thrills,” said Brett Waudby, General Manager, MINI Australia and New Zealand.

“The Mini Dynamic Mobility Package, developed in conjunction with Mini Financial Services, is the ideal accompaniment and takes all the hassle out of ownership to encourage more Mini urbanites to come forth and embrace the EV lifestyle.”

The Mini Dynamic Mobility Package finance elements are as follows:

  • $3000 deposit
  • $275 per week for the first 24 months
  • $98 for the following 24 months
  • 4.99 percent P.A Comparison Rate

This all-encompassing offer comes as Mini delivers the first customer units of the Electric Hatch to customers.

Brisbane Mini Garage were the first in the country to hand the keys of an all-new, British Racing Green Mini Electric Hatch to Jeff Shaw, an Electrical Engineer with a passion for both Mini and all things electric.

“I’ve always loved Minis, and being an electrical engineer, I also love electric cars. I tested pretty much every EV available in Australia, but never really liked any of them enough to get one. When I heard about the Mini getting electrified, I knew for a fact it would be the car for me.”
