A key performance feature of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Edition R SUV and Coupé is the addition of the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package, adding enhancements including AMG dynamic engine mounts; a selectable ‘RACE’ driving program in addition to ‘Sport’ and ‘Sport+’ options in the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT menu; and 21-inch AMG Y-spoke light-alloy wheels that are aerodynamically optimised and painted in matt black with high-sheen rim flange over distinctive red brake callipers.
The addition of AMG dynamic engine mounts ensures the best possible connection between the engine and the body no matter which driving situation the vehicle encounters, and delivers the softest possible suspension for optimal comfort and firmer suspension for improved driving dynamics.
Using AMG DYNAMIC SELECT to choose RACE mode delivers racetrack-ready performance with maximum sporty character at the push of a button. Drivers will experience even more spontaneous engine response, and a more direct accelerator pedal characteristic.

The performance elements are extended inside the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Edition R SUV and Coupé with AMG-specific details.
The AMG Performance Seat Package Advanced fitted as standard on the Edition R includes seats upholstered in ARTICO and MICROCUT microfibre in black with red stitching and matched with red seatbelts. The centre console and dash feature a distinctive metal structure trim that is currently exclusive to the GLC 43 4MATIC Edition R SUV and Coupé within the GLC-Class in Australia.
The dynamic look is enhanced by the AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather and MICROCUT microfibre, a Burmester® 3D surround sound system and AMG Real Performance Sound.

Paint options for the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Edition R SUV and Coupé include Polar White non-metallic; Verde Silver metallic; Graphite Grey metallic; High-tech Silver metallic; Obsidian Black metallic; and Spectral Blue metallic. The additional performance details of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Edition R SUV and Coupé build on the rich list of standard features in the GLC 43 models, which includes heated seats with memory function, two-zone climate control, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, wireless Charging system for mobile devices in the front, digital radio and ambient light display.
A panoramic sliding sunroof and heat-insulating dark-tinted glass, interior light package, head-up display, parking package with 360-degree camera, Active Parking Assist, Transparent Bonnet, and a suite of latest drive assistance technology are just some of the other standard features now enhanced by the performance additions.
The new editions are powered by the GLC 43’s 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, supplementing the combustion engine with up to 10kW of power and 150Nm of torque for short bursts of acceleration, for combined power and torque of up to 310 kW and 500 Nm. That delivers a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.8 seconds. The engine is complemented by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission along with AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension and rear-axle steering.
Pricing
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 Edition R will be available in limited numbers only and retail at $128,900 (plus on road costs) for the SUV and $141,600 (plus on road costs) for the Coupé. Edition R units will be available to order from April 10, 2025 at Mercedes-Benz retailers.
