RESPONDING TO THE ONGOING POPULARITY of its first all-electric compact SUV, the EQA 250, Mercedes-Benz now adds the choice of more power and improved dynamic performance, plus extra sporty and luxurious appointments, with the EQA 350 4MATIC.
Mercedes-Benz continues to strengthen its rollout of electric vehicles by offering an enticing new option in the popular compact SUV segment, the Mercedes-Benz EQA 350 4MATIC.
The EQA 350 further extends the strong appeal of the existing all-electric EQA 250 model by offering significantly more power and torque, all-wheel grip via the renowned 4MATIC system, and a beefed-up specification that includes sports-themed visual differentiation as well as extra sporty and luxury equipment.
Globally, SUVs account for one in every three Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles sold, while compact models comprise one-in-four. Meanwhile, customer interest in the Mercedes-Benz EQ brand and its expanding portfolio of all-electric and mild hybrid models continues to go from strength to strength in markets all around the world.
Powerfully appealing
The Mercedes-Benz EQA 350 4MATIC is powered by a combination of front- and rear-mounted e-motors generating combined outputs of 215 kW and 520 Nm. With the added dynamic advantage of 4MATIC all-wheel-drive, the EQA 350 can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds.
The EQA 350 utilises a 66.5 kWh battery pack, charging at up to 11kW (AC) and 100kW (DC). Its driving range is more than adequate for the daily commute, extra-urban road trips or weekends away, with around 400km of range according to the WLTP test standard.
It can be charged at home via a Mercedes-Benz Wallbox or standard 240-volt wall plug, or faster top-ups are available via rapid charging stations.
Athletic presence to the fore
The EQA 350 4MATIC announces its presence via standard inclusion of the AMG Line Sports exterior with an AMG-specific front apron trimmed in chrome with functional AIR CURTAINS, a black panel radiator grille in a twin-blade design surround in high-gloss black, an AMG diffuser-style rear apron trimmed in chrome, and 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels in high-gloss black with a high-sheen finish.
Inside, the AMG Line Sports treatment continues with red top-stitching on the dashboard and beltline, air vents in silver chrome and high-gloss black, black sports seats with red top-stitching in ARTICO and DINAMICA microfibre, a flat-bottom multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather, plus AMG-style pedals in brushed stainless steel.
The standard specification also includes the Vision Package, adding an electronically operated panoramic sunroof and the Parking Package with 360-degree camera.
Generous specification
These EQA 350-specific features build on the generous standard specification of the EQA 250. This includes adjustable damping suspension with multi-link rear, a direct steer system and DYNAMIC SELECT driving mode selection.
Additionally, the ground-breaking MBUX infotainment system including voice control (‘Hey Mercedes’) and 10.25-inch centre touchscreen collectively form the hub for functions such as navigation, media playback, telephony and vehicle functionality. A second 10.25-inch screen presents a customisable digital instrument cluster for the driver.
Other convenience functions include keyless entry and start, a powered tailgate with handsfree access, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto plus wireless charging for selected mobile devices, and heated front seats, automatic climate control including remotely-actuated pre-entry climate control, a DAB+ digital radio tuner, and access to a comprehensive suite of remote functions and vehicle information via the Mercedes me app on a connected smart device.
