Mazda announces BT50 ute prices and specs

WHAT THEY ARE CALLING “the most significant update since its conception in 2020”, the bold new Mazda BT-50 is now ready to take on the toughest Australian conditions as it joins the brand’s diverse 2025 model range.

Exterior sculpting continues to embody the signature Mazda ‘Kodo – soul of motion’ design with a focus on ruggedness that promises adventure from every angle. A tough and bold presence is signified by a newly designed front bumper, framing a new radiator grille and unique LED headlamps.

At the rear, an unmistakable presence is delivered with a new easy-down tailgate that integrates a mountain-inspired ridged design along the bottom edge, along with new LED tail lamps and a larger Mazda logo (something we are sure no self-respecting Mazda ute owner could live without!).

The rugged nature of the significantly updated BT-50 flows to the interior with an enhanced infotainment system, putting vehicle controls at the occupants’ fingertips. Now spanning up to seven inches, the layout of the new customisable Multi-Information Display (MID) has also been refined, working in harmony with the central screen to provide even more useful and relevant driving information.

The bulk of the extensive BT-50 line-up will be powered by the dependable 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel four-cylinder engine – boasting a useable and healthy 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque. A 1.9-litre in-line four-cylinder diesel engine will be available in the entry-grade XS 4×2 model, delivering up to 110kW of power and 350Nm of torque.
