IN AN EFFORT TO increase buyer interest, it seems almost everyone is busily offering limited edition models with more value built in.

Jeep Australia is the latest, with the Jeep Grand Cherokee Upland. Based off the Grand Cherokee Laredo and limited to only 44 models in Australia, the Grand Cherokee Upland combines a rugged and refined exterior with polished interior touchpoints.

The Upland comes with the 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine and best-in-class towing capacity of 3,500kg. The Jeep Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system paired with the two-speed transfer case allows owners to select high and low range for optimal traction in any driving condition whether it be on-road or off-road.

Interior highlights include a touchscreen 8.4” Uconnect navigation system paired active safety featuring including blind spot monitor and rear-cross path detection.

Extrovertly styled, the Upland’s exterior features unique ‘Desert Sky’ blue accents surrounding the gloss ’Jeep’ and ‘Grand Cherokee’ badges, Goodyear All-Terrain tyres and 20-inch fully painted 5-spoke black alloy wheels. Gloss black finishes envelop the grille rings, roof rails, day light opening moulding, side mirror caps, fog and tail lamp surrounds, lower front applique and 4×4 badge.

The ‘Desert Sky’ accents extend inside the cabin with blue stitching adorning the centre arm rest console, steering wheel and side door armrest.

The Grand Cherokee Upland balances off-road capabilities with urban design, and adds nearly $7,000 (Jeep’s figures) in customer value. It is now available in Jeep dealerships from $61,450 plus on roads.
