SINCE ITS LAUNCH IN 2019, the Seltos has been a sales winner for Kia, proving popular with buyers of all ages.
Now, the Seltos has been refreshed (although you’ll need sharp eyes to see the differences). It gets a (slightly) new design and an increased range of safety and convenience features.
“The response to Seltos has been extraordinary over the last three years and we are very pleased to be introducing its improved successor”, said Kia’s Chief Operating Officer, Damien Meredith.
“It’s rare to find a car that appeals as much to families as it does to singles and couples. With the inclusion of extra safety and convenience technology across the board, we’re positive new Seltos will continue to win buyers over with its unmatched combination of style and practicality”.
Tailored to suit a breadth of lifestyles, new Seltos is available in four trimlines (S, Sport, Sport+ and GT-Line) and two powertrains.
The existing Atkinson cycle 2.0 MPI FWD engine with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) carries over and is available across all trims.
An updated Smartstream 1.6 T-GDI AWD engine is available exclusively on Sport+ and GT-Line trims. The 1.6T AWD engine is now mated to Kia’s 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission (8AT) for a smoother overall driving experience.
The exterior design of new Seltos has been refreshed with a new headlight graphic, larger and bolder radiator grille, a new front bumper, and prominent skid plate garnish. The front lighting design on Seltos GT-Line has been transformed with a new ‘Star-map’ signature design.
The rear has been subtly tweaked to appear more athletic with design improvements made to the rear bumper and rear lamp to compliment the new front design. Alloy wheels are included as standard across the new Seltos range with Sport, Sport+ and GT-Line featuring machine-finished.
Interior technology has been updated, with analogue gauges being replaced in favour of digital displays across the range. Seltos S features a 4.2-inch Multi-Function LCD Cluster, while Sport, Sport+ and GT-Line trims gain a dual 10.25-inch display inspired by those in the award-winning all-new Sportage and EV6, along with a newly designed Climate Control Panel.
Safety takes priority in new Seltos, with safety features including Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Rear-Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA) and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) integrated as standard from S trim.
Comfort and convenience features introduced as standard across the new Seltos range include Rear Air Vents with USB-C Charging and a full-size spare tyre. GT-Line trim gains extra luxuries with a Power Driver’s Seat with Two Position Memory (IMS) and Smart Power Tailgate.
Following the introduction of Kia Connect to the Australian market in all-new Niro, new Seltos is the second model in the range to feature Kia’s connected car service in Sport trim and up. The industry leading Kia Connect is complimentary for 7 years and provides customer benefits in safety, security, convenience, connectivity, and LIVE services by using telematics systems to transfer real time data, such as weather and traffic information.
The new Seltos is available in seven colours with one (Pluton Blue) being new to the Kia colour palette. Two two-tone paint is available exclusively in GT-Line trim. Premium paint finishes (and two-tone paint) cost extra, and that means any colour other than Mars Orange.
