THE ENHANCED BMW 3 SERIES SEDAN and Touring (which the rest of the world calls “wagons”) will arrive in Australia at the end of this year with an increased level of specification and, in welcome news to many, a sharper entry price.
The 3 Series – first launched in 1975 – is the core of the BMW brand and a benchmark for sporting prowess in the mid-size luxury sedan segment.
It has also earned numerous awards across the world in recognition of its broad range of abilities, including in Australia, where it has achieved multiple Car of the Year victories.
The success of the 3 Series is reflected in its strong sales volumes. More than 20 million examples of the BMW 3 Series have been sold around the world to date, with the current, seventh model generation now accounting for almost three million of these alone.
Registrations of the BMW 3 Series in Australia were up seven percent to the end of May.
