NOT SATISFIED WITH EXISTING model names, Hyundai has introduced new monikers for the 2024 Palisade. Heading the range are the new Calligraphy and Calligraphy Black Ink variants, available now.
The flagship large SUV adopts the Calligraphy nameplate in place of Highlander and the range is joined by a sophisticated new Calligraphy Black Ink variant.
2024 Palisade gains standard equipment in both Elite and Calligraphy grades and continues to be offered with 3.8 GDi or 2.2 CRDi AWD powertrains for each variant.
Calligraphy Black Ink variant is exclusively offered for 2024 Palisade with white or black exterior and applies a blacked-out treatment to the interior and exterior.
“2024 Palisade builds on the renowned appeal and value of our flagship large SUV with the contemporary new Calligraphy Black Ink variant and additional standard features across the range,” said Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer, Ted Lee.
Range overview
Calligraphy Black Ink (new to range) available with 3.8 GDi 2WD and 8-speed transmission, or 2.2 CRDi AWD with 8-speed transmission.
The Calligraphy replaces the Highlander in the range and is available with the same engines and transmission as the Calligraphy Black Ink.
Entry level is the Elite, again with the same engines and transmission.
The Calligraphy Black Ink treatment is headlined by a dark tinted radiator grille and bumper garnish and gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels.
The look is tied together with dark tinted front and rear skid plates, lower door garnishes, taillight garnishes and badging, with black glossy roof rails completing the monochromatic impression.
The treatment continues inside with Black Suede appointed seats and headlining.
2024 Palisade Elite gains extra standard features in the form of a heated steering wheel and an eight-way power adjustable passenger seat.
Interior mood is enhanced with a mélange knit headlining and pillar trims, wood-look interior trim inserts, deluxe alloy scuff plates, and a cargo area carpet mat.
Palisade Elite also gains sound-insulating acoustic laminated front door glass, in addition to the standard acoustic windshield.
2024 Palisade Calligraphy gains convenient touch-type climate control screen, hydrophobic (water-repellent) front door glass and acoustic laminated rear door glass, over and above the preceding flagship’s extensive standard equipment.
