Ford Everest gets AEB as standard

UPGRADES TO SAFETY equipment are coming thick and fast, and that’s to everyone’s advantage.

Latest to get an important upgrade is Ford’s Everest.

It has been updated to include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection as standard from May 2019 production. The Everest line-up now sees a high level of equipment across all models, from the five-seat Ambiente through to the seven-seat Everest Titanium with its advanced Bi-Turbo powertrain, which has had its price adjusted to bring it below the Luxury Car Tax threshold.

“The Everest has won many accolades, and we’re proud of that, but we are always looking to add the latest technology and the most advanced features for our customers,” said Ford Australia and New Zealand President and CEO, Kay Hart. “The addition of AEB on every model is part of our commitment to constantly improve our products, services and ownership experiences.”

Also having a beneficial effect on ownership costs for Everest owners is an expansion of the Ford Service Benefits program. For the first four years/60,000km (whichever comes first), eligible customers will be able to service their Everest for a maximum recommended price of $299 (incl. GST) per A or B logbook service at participating dealerships.

Ford Service Benefits are a worthwhile inclusion, with the added value of a Service Loan Car, Auto Club membership (including Roadside Assistance), sat-nav updates, Vehicle Report Card, and servicing carried out by experienced Ford Factory Trained Technicians when vehicles are serviced at participating dealers.

A safer Everest is good news for everyone

Bigger, safer, more features

More choice, more features

The Everest Trend is the most popular model of the line-up, and offers key features and more choice for customers. Available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) models, with a choice of five- or seven-seat configurations, the Everest Trend also offers a choice of powertrains.

This includes the proven, workhorse-like 3.2L five-cylinder turbodiesel. In 2018, Everest Trend was introduced with an advanced powertrain option with the arrival of the Bi-Turbo, 10-speed automatic.

The Bi-Turbo option has appealed to customers looking for greater refinement, comfort and enhanced fuel efficiency and has become the highest selling model in the Everest line up. In addition, the Bi-Turbo powertrain also increases Everest’s official braked towing capacity from 3000kg to 3100kg.

Titanium price reduced

The flagship Everest Titanium includes the advanced Bi-Turbo 10-speed powertrain as standard at a more affordable price. In addition to higher levels of refinement and comfort, the Bi-Turbo powertrain on Titanium delivers 7.0L/100km fuel efficiency with Titanium qualifying for the Fuel Efficient Vehicles Luxury Car Tax threshold. The MLP of the Everest Titanium is now $72,290 representing a saving of $1700 for customers.

The updated Ford Everest goes on sale in Australian Ford dealerships from July 2019.
