Ford adds Everest Sport RWD to range

FOLLOWING THE EARLY SUCCESS of the latest version of the Everest (Ford insists on calling it the “Next Generation Everest”), Ford Australia has announced the addition of the Everest Sport RWD to the Everest line-up, available exclusively with a 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel powertrain. The 2023.50MY (2023.50? Really?) Everest range also comes with various product and pricing updates.

“Everest Sport has proven to be a very popular model since we revealed the Next-Generation Everest range earlier this year,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia.

“With the introduction of Everest Sport RWD we are offering our customers more choice, with a very stylish vehicle that can tow the boat and fit the family in safety and comfort.”

The Everest Sport RWD features include:

  • Black exterior finishes with Black 20-inch alloy wheels
  • ‘Everest’ hood badge and Sport rear badge
  • Hands-free power liftgate
  • Leather-accented Sport-embossed front seats with heating/cooling
  • 10-way power driver’s seat with memory setting
  • 8-way power passenger seat
  • Sport-exclusive colour within Everest range: Blue Lightning

The Everest Sport RWD 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel has a price of $62,790 (plus on road costs).

We quite like the unadorned look of the Sport

Specification Updates

The 2023.50MY Next-Gen Everest Platinum now comes standard with steel underbody protection and a black painted roof.

With steel underbody protection standard on Everest Platinum from 2023.50MY, the optional Off-Road Pack offers customers the choice of changing to 18-inch wheels and all-terrain tyres, from the standard 21-inch wheels, at no cost.

For vehicles produced from March 2023 onwards, the optional Touring Pack, available on Everest Trend 4WD and Sport 4WD models, will include black stand-off roof rails, alongside a 360-degree camera, zone lighting, tow bar and integrated trailer brake controller.

The Trend models are split by the new Sport model — yes, we’re confused too
