Audi confirms details for Q4 e-tron, cuts price

IN WHAT SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING of a trend amongst manufacturers (Stellantis has also announced that it is reducing the price of its latest Jeep), Audi has announced that it is reducing the launch price of the Q4 e-tron before it has even gone on sale.

The Audi Q4 e-tron range, set to arrive to Australian showrooms this December, marks a significant milestone in the Audi electrification journey, bringing advanced, premium, electric mobility to more Australians with enhanced value and technology.

Since the announcement of the full pricing and specifications detail in June, Audi Australia has secured a more competitive launch price for the Q4 e-tron, ensuring that customers benefit from the latest technological advancements while enjoying exceptional value. The Audi Q4 e-tron, available in both SUV and Sportback variants as both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive in the quattro, offer remarkable driving range and a suite of features tailored to meet the demands of everyday Australian drivers.

The pricing for the Model Year 2025 (MY25) Q4 e-tron are as follows, along with indicative range for each variant;

  •  Q4 45 e-tron: Priced at $84,900, with a combined EV range of up to 524km.
  • Q4 Sportback 45 e-tron: Priced at $86,500, with a combined EV range of up to 540km.
  •  Q4 55 e-tron quattro: Priced at $105,900, with a combined EV range of up to 488km.
  • Q4 Sportback 55 e-tron quattro: Priced at $107,500, with a combined EV range of up to 503km.

These newly refined prices (all plus on road costs) position the Q4 e-tron range as a compelling electric vehicle offering within the market, combining the brands’ hallmark performance and technology with uncompromised premium appointment.

Exclusive Launch Offer

To mark the arrival of the new Q4 e-tron, Audi Australia is celebrating with a launch offer to customers who order and take delivery of their vehicle by December 31, 2024. This exclusive offer entails a complimentary twelve-month public charging subscription which includes one year of complimentary, unlimited charging at all Chargefox ultra rapid charging stations and at participating Chargefox managed fast charging stations. This launch offer allows Q4 e-tron owners to experience the full potential of their electric vehicle with ease and convenience.

This special launch offer provides a compelling incentive when paired with the Q4 e-tron’s standard eight-year battery warranty, five-year unlimited kilometre warranty, and complimentary membership during the warranty period to Audi Experience. Audi Australia’s bespoke loyalty program offering access to exclusive events, intimate Audi Ambassador experiences, and premium partner offers. Further, for peace of mind, Q4 e-tron will also come with six years Audi Roadside Assistance so owners can drive with the security that one phone call delivers help if required 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Enhanced specifications for MY25

Australian customers will benefit from the latest advancements in the MY25 Q4 e-tron. The Q4 45 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 45 e-tron variants now feature a new battery with optimised cell chemistry and higher density, resulting in an increased combined WLTP range. Additionally, the maximum DC charging capacity for these variants has been upgraded to 175kW, allowing for faster and more efficient charging.

All Q4 e-tron models are equipped with a large 82kWh battery (gross) and can charge from ten to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes, ensuring that drivers spend less time charging and more time on the road.

In addition to the upgraded battery on 45 e-tron variants, all Q4 e-tron variants gain full paint finish, with contrasting paint available as a no cost option. Pebble grey paint is no cost, with seven metallic hues optionally available (which means at additional cost).

Commitment to electrification

As the arrival of the Q4 e-tron draws near, Audi Australia is proud to confirm that its entire dealer network is also now Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) certified. This milestone represents the culmination of a two-year, multi-phase initiative to equip all Audi dealers nationally with the necessary infrastructure, training, and expertise to sell and service BEVs and PHEVs. This certification is representative of much more than just preparing the network to retail BEVs and PHEVs, but also reflects on the brands’ steadfast commitment to driving the future of mobility in Australia with the incoming influx of BEVs in the Q4 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and A6 e-tron.

“We made a conscious decision to commence our market entry for the Q4 e-tron with Model Year 2025 vehicles which come with upgraded battery technology. This decision allows us to provide enhanced customer value across the Q4 e-tron range,” Jeff Mannering, Director of Audi Australia, commented.

“With the addition of our exclusive launch offer and the full support of our BEV-certified dealer network, the Q4 e-tron is poised to make a mark in the premium electric vehicle market. We are thrilled to bring this exceptional vehicle to our customers and look forward to seeing it on Australian roads shortly.”
