ALPINA AUTOMOBILES AUSTRALIA HAS CONFIRMED local specification and pricing for the BMW Alpina XB7 MANUFAKTUR (okay, we’ll leave that one in caps!).
The BMW Alpina XB7 has been setting standards in the luxury Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment since 2020. Since then, 2880 vehicles have been produced, including around 2330 for the US market and 550 for the rest of the world. This underlines that the XB7 is an important part of the Alpina product offering.

EXTERIOR
The BMW Alpina XB7 MANUFAKTUR enjoys some striking exterior design updates.
Particularly noteworthy are the 23-inch’ Alpina CLASSIC forged wheels, which now come as standard and are finished in Aluminium Satin. The wheels are high-gloss compacted in an elaborate process, resulting in a deep-gloss, mirror-like surface. After this procedure, the wheels are additionally sealed with a matt clear coat. This combination of high-gloss compaction and matt clear coat gives the wheels a unique look that is both striking and very elegant. The redesigned and more prominent rear diffusor emphasises the powerful appearance of the XB7 MANUFAKTUR.
Both a visual and technical treat: The Alpina high-performance brake system is now also part of the standard equipment and its lightweight, multi-piece, perforated brake discs and special brake pads ensure excellent braking performance.
The popular traditional paint finishes Alpina Blue metallic and Alpina Green II metallic (at no extra charge for the XB7 MANUFAKTUR), which are exclusively reserved for BMW Alpina automobiles, harmonise perfectly with the Black or Aluminium Satin exterior finishes. The combination with the BMW Individual metallic paint finishes Gunmetal II, Jerez Black, Orinoco, Malachite Green and Wildberry are also highly recommended.
INTERIOR
Newly available for the XB7 MANUFAKTUR are the two exterior options “Black Line” or “Aluminium Satin Line”. In addition to the BMW trim, special Alpina elements such as the SWITCH-TRONIC shift paddles, the tailpipes, the steering wheel stitching, the model lettering and the exclusive MANUFAKTUR badge on the rear of the vehicle are available in either Black or Aluminium Satin.
Look and feel are two key concepts that play an important role at Alpina. The XB7 MANUFAKTUR received seat panels and the steering column finished in black leather as an extension of the already high-end BMW Merino leather upholstery.
In addition, further high-quality details such as an exclusive XB7 embossing in the headrests, specific MANUFAKTUR emblems in the floor mats, the Alpina production plaque and a specific engine compartment badge round off the XB7 MANUFAKTUR.
DRIVETRAIN & CHASSIS
The BMW Alpina XB7 MANUFAKTUR remains true to its proven success factors in terms of drivetrain and chassis, which have been praised by both customers and the international press.
The well-known 4.4 litre V8 engine with Bi-Turbo charging (based on the BMW S68) is a versatile all-rounder among the powerful drive units. With an output of 457kW and a torque of 800Nm, it offers both the opportunity for impressive power delivery and relaxed cruising. This engine combines effortless superiority with powerful dynamics and fulfils the highest demands in every driving situation.
The XB7 MANUFAKTUR is equipped with the latest suspension technology, opening a new dimension in both ride comfort and driving dynamics in the performance luxury Sport Activity Vehicle segment. The two-axle air suspension with Alpina specific damper and kinematic set-up are primarily responsible for the balance of driving dynamics and ride comfort.
It allows for a remarkable and noticeable 40mm change in ride height, depending on driving situation or the chosen suspension mode. At speeds below 30km/h, the ride height can be raised by 40mm for challenging ramp angles or other clearance requirements. In Sport Mode or above 160km/h the ride height is reduced by 20mm, in Sport+ Mode or above 250km/h by 40mm. The resulting lower centre of gravity and subsequent changes in suspension geometry, with associated increases in negative camber, have a significant positive effect on driving dynamics.
Alpina specific dome-bulkhead struts and reinforced torsion struts increase body rigidity. In addition, the electromechanical anti-roll bars of the Active Roll Stabilization system and stiffer rear axle bushings reduce body roll substantially.
The Integral Active Steering offers direct steering response with exceptional feedback and improves overall agility. The rear wheels can pivot a maximum of 2.3 degrees left or right increasing agility at low speeds and aiding maximum directional stability at high speeds. The driver can choose from three steering modes: COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+.
