Singer teams with Zagame, extends reach to Australia

CALIFORNIA-BASED LUXURY AUTOMOTIVE BRAND, Singer Group, Inc., recognized worldwide for its restorations of the air-cooled Porsche 911, welcomes Melbourne-based Zagame Automotive Group to the company’s global partner network.

Owners in Australia and New Zealand will be able to learn about Singer’s services and discuss their requirements in a sophisticated and welcoming environment, surrounded by a high level of customer support from the deeply experienced team at Zagame Automotive. The announcement also means that Singer’s clients will have access to expert, in-country servicing, and maintenance from a trusted partner.

Some people believe the 911 cannot be improved. Singer begs to differ

The North Island Commission, one of the first Porsche 911s reimagined by Singer already on the road in New Zealand, is presented with carbon fibre bodywork in Olive with black stripes and lettering. The interior is trimmed in Chocolate Brown. Touring seats with 4-way adjustment, and perforated leather inserts have been selected. The heart of this machine is a 3.8-litre, naturally aspirated, air-cooled flat-six, paired with a manual transmission. The first restoration for an owner in Australia will arrive later in 2021.

While the car shown here is a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) example, owners around the world are also able to undertake all-wheel-drive (AWD) restorations. Either left-hand-drive (LHD) or right-hand-drive (RHD) cars can be restored, and Singer’s special wishes department handles client requests for bespoke details and engineering, ranging from bespoke trim finishes through to ski-racks, spotlights, or alternative wheel design.

Founder and Executive Chairman of Singer, Rob Dickinson explains, “It’s so exciting to be reaching out to new audiences. We’re humbled to be in touch with enthusiasts in Australia and New Zealand who wish to commission our services in pursuit of their personal vision for the ultimate air-cooled 911. We’re thrilled to be collaborating with these owners and to be building a strong local presence. As our client group expands around the world, we need partners of the highest calibre to look after them. I’m delighted that Zagame Automotive Group will be there to support our amazing owners in Australia and New Zealand.”

A fine mix of classic style and modern amenities

Bobby Zagame, Managing Director of Zagame Automotive Group, adds, “Over the last 20 years, Zagame Automotive Group has carefully built our pre-eminent reputation in the world of sports, luxury and performance vehicles. We’re very excited to be at the forefront of supporting Singer’s clients in Australia and New Zealand and together we look forward to seeing more of these beautiful cars on the road here. Our passion, commitment and focus on the ownership experience is what sets Zagame Automotive apart and I’m delighted that Singer is now part of the family.”
