Volkswagen adds value to T-Cross

VOLKSWAGEN’S EXTENSIVE SUV range continues to expand, with a new model being added to the T-Cross range.

The T-Cross is VW’s most affordable SUV and since its Australian launch in May last year has proved a winner.

But VW won’t be resting on its laurels.

Based on the 85TSI Life variant, the T-Cross CityLife special model retains the more rugged features of the Life and adds polish and functionality.

Priced at $30,390 (plus on road costs), the T-Cross CityLife sits in the middle of the T-Cross range between the 85TSI Life ($28,390) and 85TSI Style ($31,390).

The 3-cylinder 1-litre engine is surprisingly peppy

At a premium of $2000 above the Life variant upon which it is based, T-Cross CityLife adds a comprehensive list of styling and equipment enhancements as standard including foldable gloss door mirror covers, upgraded alloy wheels, CityLife tailgate badge, ‘Transition’ black-grey dashboard décor, Black or Bamboo themed upholstery, tinted rear and passenger row windows, dual zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and start, comfort sport front seats, and blind spot detection with rear traffic alert.

Powered by the T-Cross range’s existing 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine, the T-Cross CityLife delivers 85kW and 200Nm through a 7-speed DSG transmission and front-wheel drive.

A total of one thousand T-Cross CityLifes are being built.

The T-Cross CityLife is available in two dynamic colour themes: Bamboo Garden and Black, each with a unique set of styling elements distinguished by their contrasting colour detail. Each theme is offered in its own selection of complementary exterior colours.
