All-new Chinese GWM Ute coming soon

THE CHINESE ARE WASTING NO TIME in moving into every niche market and the arrival of a new Chinese crew cab ute later this year is sure to attract attention.

There will be three 4×4 GWM Dual Cab grades available from Q4 launch.

The new ute will be built at GWM’s new $900 million factory in Chongqing, Southwest China.

GWM has confirmed that the all-new GWM Ute is on its way to Australia with a planned launch before the end of the year.

Completely new from the ground-up, the GWM Ute brings significant improvements across a number of key areas including safety, design, connectivity, capability and comfort and is expected to be a key driver in volume and brand growth in the coming years.

The GWM Ute lineup at launch will consist of three 4×4 Dual Cab grades – the range-opening Cannon, mid-spec Cannon-L and range-topping Cannon-X. Exact features and specifications are yet to be fully disclosed but buyers can expect a high level of standard specification combined with compelling value.

Despite the company’s local pre-launch activities only officially commencing today, a number of dealers have already been receiving strong interest from prospective customers. As a further sign of anticipation for the new GWM Ute, some dealers have already taken deposits from customers.
