FOLLOWING ON FROM THE REPOSITIONED TOUAREG large SUV and highly competitive ID. 4 and ID. 5 fully electric medium SUVs, Volkswagen is delivering a value-packed, feature-rich strategy with the all-new Tiguan.
The Tiguan 110TSI Life delivers incredible value from $44,990 (plus on road costs), adding 19-inch alloy wheels, keyless access with alarm, power tailgate, Area View 360-degree camera, Digital Cockpit Pro (widescreen driver display), 12.9-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, wireless App-Connect, wireless charging and DAB+ digital radio for just $1000 over the previous generation model.
Volkswagen’s leading Travel Assist (incorporating Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Assist for semi-autonomous and stop-and-go driving), Front Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Monitoring and Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert are also standard.
They join Side Exit Warning, Front Cross-Traffic Assist, oncoming vehicle braking when turning with swerve support, Park Assist Plus (with semi-autonomous steering and throttle/braking to park), 9 airbags (including centre airbag) and – following the Touareg and Amarok’s lead – Dynamic Road Sign Assist.

The Tiguan Elegance adds chrome roof rails and trim, rear privacy glass, LED Plus headlights with illuminated grille strip, LED tail-lights with illuminated centre strip, leather-appointed seat upholstery, plus front comfort sport seats with power adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage function.
Available fully-optioned with a Sound & Vision package (with Head-up Display and Harman Kardon premium audio – a combined $2700 option) and panoramic sunroof ($2100), the 110TSI Elegance at $55,490 outpoints naturally-aspirated rivals while challenging them for luxury.
Volkswagen customers now have a choice – maximum luxury and front-wheel drive turbo efficiency (110TSI), or sporty looks and performance, with the new 150TSI R-Line, now $4600 more attainable than the outgoing 162TSI R-Line.
Priced from $55,990 the 150TSI R-Line scores a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and 4MOTION all-wheel drive, delivering 0-100km/h in 7.1 seconds. It builds on 110TSI Life equipment levels with an R-Line bodykit, unique 19-inch alloys, LED Plus headlights, premium LED tail-lights with 3D animation, sports seats with integrated headrest and sports cloth upholstery, DCC Pro, progressive steering, plus an optional panoramic sunroof and optional Sound & Vision package.
Or, the Tiguan 150TSI Elegance combines the sportier performance with maximum luxury from $60,690.
The 150TSI Elegance adds the Sound & Vision package, HD Matrix LED headlights with Adaptive High-beam, LED Plus rear tail-lights with dynamic indicators, 15.0-inch Discover Pro Max infotainment display with Navigation and adaptive chassis control (DCC Pro).
The Tiguan 195TSI R-Line continues the Volkswagen medium SUV’s performance pedigree from $70,490, with 195kW of power, 400Nm of torque, and zero to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds.
The Tiguan 195TSI R-Line combines the looks and feel of the 150TSI R-Line with the luxury specification of the 150TSI Elegance, plus its own appointments, featuring: 20-inch Leeds alloy wheels, leather-appointed upholstery, front comfort sport seats electrically adjustable with memory, heating, ventilation and massage, heated steering wheel, 15-inch Discover Pro Max infotainment system with Navigation, head-up display, HD Matrix LED headlights, dynamic light assist, premium LED tail lights with dynamic indicators, Harman Kardon premium audio and more.
A $1500-optional Black Style package on the 195TSI R-Line introduces black exterior mirror housings, black roof rails, window trim strips, R-Line front and rear bumpers with high-gloss black trim and 20-inch York alloy wheels.
