VOLKSWAGEN IS DELIVERING ITS SAFEST, most advanced range of hatchbacks and SUVs ever with upgrades to the Polo and T-Roc range.
The entry Polo Life now comes with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Assist and – in combination of these two technologies – the highly acclaimed Travel Assist as standard.
Volkswagen’s Travel Assist is an assistance system for partly automated driving. At the push of a button, Travel Assist can support the driver in monotonous and tiring driving situations commonly encountered on long motorway journeys. It combines the functions of ACC and Lane Assist with adaptive lane guidance to accelerate, brake and maintain the vehicle’s position within its lane.
Travel Assist can help prevent collisions, lane wander or deviation from the road, and reduce driver fatigue on long drives.
Other upgrades, for the middle specification Polo Style, include standard keyless access with push button start, embedded satellite navigation, wireless App-Connect and wireless smartphone charging. This adds to the Polo Style’s leading technology roll-call – including standard IQ.LIGHT matrix LED headlights with adaptive high beam – all for under $35,000.
Volkswagen has also upgraded the T-Roc CityLife with Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, and Proactive Occupant Protection System.
This respectively combines blind-spot monitoring via mirror-mounted illumination warning, an audible alert following the detection of vehicles or objects behind the T-Roc when reversing – and, in the event of an imminent collision, the tightening of front seatbelts and other preparations and activations to help protect occupants in an accident.
Other upgrades include, for the T-Roc R-Line, a new sports leather-appointed steering wheel with physical audio, trip computer and adaptive cruise control buttons. All new T-Roc customers can also now access the GoConnect smartphone app, with 5-year access to several functions – including live technical status, vehicle location, recent trips, warning light and error notification, plus direct dealer communication.
The upgraded Polo and T-Roc are available to order now, with deliveries commencing during Q1 2025.
Volkswagen also has supply of existing MY24 T-Roc in run out: including from $37,990 drive away for the T-Roc CityLife until March 31.
