AUDI’S A AND Q MODELS ARE already stylish and dramatic, but that has been ramped up a notch with the introduction of its Dynamic Black range, bringing a selection of striking styling cues and additional equipment to some of the most popular Audi models. Available for a limited time, the Audi Dynamic Black models add distinctive styling elements for even greater appeal on vehicles in the A and Q ranges, creating a sportier look and increasing the value proposition of these highly desirable vehicles.
The Dynamic Black range delivers distinctive styling and presence, featuring a combination of metallic paint finishes, black exterior styling elements and wheel packages, and notably, including items not available in the regular model range.
“These styling and equipment highlights further build on the appeal of some of the brand’s most popular models,” said Jeff Mannering, Director of Audi Australia.
“These special models bring together a combination of striking design features that give the Dynamic Black range a tremendous road presence that will strike a chord with customers wanting a more sporty look for their Audi.”
Drawing on the most popular Audi models, the Dynamic Black range includes the A4 Sedan and Avant models as well as the A5 Sportback and variants from across the Audi Q range of luxury SUV models.
With such a comprehensive offering, customers will be able to perfectly match their Dynamic Black model to suit their personal taste and lifestyle, taking the finest elements of these already outstanding vehicles and further enhancing their style, value offering, and desirability.
Audi A4 and A5 Dynamic Black
Building on the already impressive equipment offered in the Audi A4 S line models, the Dynamic Black variants introduce a host of additional inclusions that set these vehicles apart. Offered in both Sedan and Avant variants, the three A4 Dynamic Black models feature powerful yet efficient TFSI engines and are available in the front-wheel drive 35 TFSI Sedan and the 45 TFSI quattro in both Sedan and Avant. They add striking 19-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels in a five-arm flag design with a partly polished anthracite black finish. Metallic/pearlescent paint is standard and they feature the extended black exterior package which includes the Audi rings in black as well as black roof rails on the Avant model.
As is the case with all Dynamic Black models, the package includes the removal of badging which denotes the engine designation for a cleaner exterior look, while the inclusion of privacy glass further adds to the dark theme in addition to performing its practical function. Both of the 45 TFSI models also feature brake callipers finished in red, while inside, all three feature the colour ambient lighting package and headlining finished in black cloth.
The A5 Sportback Dynamic Black model introduces large 20-inch alloy rims in a five-twin-spoke polygon design with a partly polished anthracite black finish. This marries with the extended black exterior styling package which includes the Audi rings in black but here too the engine designation badging has been removed. Red brake callipers and rear privacy glass complete the visual package.
Inside, the A5 Sportback Dynamic Black includes the S line interior package with S Sport front seats finished in fine Nappa leather with massage function. The package also includes the colour ambient lighting package to perfectly tailor the mood of the cabin.
Customers can even opt to take things further with the addition of a Carbon Package for both the A4 45 TFSI Sedan and A5 Dynamic Black models, which adds a carbon rear deck spoiler and carbon wing mirror caps in place of the black finish. The package also includes the famous Audi four-ringed logo applied to the bottom half of the rear doors.
Dynamic Black across the Q range
Models right across Audi’s celebrated Q family will be available as Dynamic Black models, from the Q2 right through to the Audi Q8. The compact Q2 35 TFSI Dynamic Black gives customers a choice of two 19-inch alloy wheel options – 10-Y-spoke or 5-arm rotor design, both finished in anthracite black. Metallic paint is standard and the vehicle ‘s bumpers front and rear are finished in the same body colour. The extended black exterior package includes black highlights from the Audi rings on the grille, wing mirror caps and the Audi rings on the sculpted rear, as well as black treatment on the C-pillars with contrasting Audi rings.
The tremendously successful Audi Q3 models receive black badging with the 35 TFSI SUV and Q3 Sportback 35 TFSI quattro Dynamic Black models alongside the black styling package. Again, badging other than the Audi logo and the Q3 model badge has been removed as part of the extended black exterior package (with black rails on the SUV variant). There is also rear privacy glass, metallic/pearlescent paint and colour matched front and rear lower bumpers, while wheels are large 19-inch alloys in a partly polished grey finish.
Inside the two special Q3 models include front seats which are heated and feature electric adjustment with 4-way lumbar support, colour ambient lighting and inlays in aluminium.
Choice of engine variants in Q5 Dynamic Black
In the mid-sized luxury class, four models in the Q5 family receive the Dynamic Black treatment, with the Q5 35 TDI and 40 TDI quattro Dynamic Black both using TDI powertrains and the Q5 45 TFSI quattro petrol powerplant offered in both SUV and Sportback form.
Each vehicle gets the distinctive black highlights of the extended black exterior package with Audi rings finished in black. Large 20-inch wheels with a five-arm Falx design are likewise finished in matte black and partially polished with red brake callipers for all models except the Q5 35 TDI.
Each Q5 offering also receives colour ambient lighting as part of their interior packages, while the 40 TDI quattro and 45 TFSI quattro SUVs build on the already high specification level of the Sport variants while also adding design selection interiors in black with contrasting stitching in rock grey in addition to an extended upholstery package.
Distinctive style in the large luxury ranks
Rounding out the Dynamic Black offering come three variants from the brand’s celebrated large luxury SUV ranks. The Q7 45 TDI Dynamic Black offers 22-inch wheels for the first time with the 45 TDI powerplant. These striking Audi Sport wheels feature a five-V-spoke pattern and are diamond-turned for a sharp finish that works beautifully with the extended black exterior package. This includes black roof rails, wing mirrors and door sill trim highlights as well as the Audi rings finished in black. Metallic paint is standard, as is rear privacy glass and the colour interior ambient lighting package.
Both the Q8 50 TDI S line and 55 TFSI S line Dynamic Black models also ride on huge 22-inch Audi Sport wheels – these in a five-double-spoke design in a silver and matt black finish. The black highlight of the exterior package accentuate the Q8’s strong stance and presence with the expansive black front Singleframe, headlight surrounds and huge air intakes, with the Audi rings also in black finish.
Side trim, folding wing mirrors, rear diffuser and the slimline roof rails are also finished in black, highlighting these elements against the metallic/pearlescent body paint. A distinctive look for the brand’s flagship SUV model.
