MITSUBISHI HAS INTRODUCED UPDATES for the MY23 Eclipse Cross small SUV range.
“With its evolved styling, efficient drivetrain, comfortable interior and impressive safety credentials, the latest-generation Eclipse Cross has impressed media and customers alike since its 2021 introduction,” said MMAL CEO, Shaun Westcott.
“This suite of 2023 model year updates further enhances the Eclipse Cross range, adding key specification across several grades while introducing a high-impact new look with the Eclipse Cross LS Black Edition,” he said.
Production for 23MY Eclipse Cross commences from January 2023, with first deliveries expected from March 2023.
New Eclipse Cross LS Black Edition is distinctively designed and highly specified
The 23MY Eclipse Cross range introduces a new variant: The LS Black Edition.
The LS Black Edition sits above the existing LS grade, with both models benefitting from the following specification updates:

- USB power sockets, mounted in rear console Type-C & Type-A; 3A & 2.4A respectively

Aspire adopts sophisticated new look
Aspire models feature a sophisticated new exterior aesthetic, using new finishes, featuring material black with contrasting silver highlights.
Gloss black is applied to the central front and rear bumper skid plates.
The radiator grille and lower door mouldings receive a material black finish.
Exceed now with electric tailgate
The top-of-the-range Eclipse Cross Exceed now features an electric tailgate, with hands-free system and one touch open, fitted as standard.
This builds on the Exceed’s bespoke character, with its unique exterior colourways, black headlining, heated steering wheel, sunroof, head up display, leather seats with four-way power adjustment for driver and front passenger, heated front and rear seats, integrated satellite navigation and Ultrasonic misacceleration mitigation system.
For 23MY, the ES – an important entry point into the Eclipse Cross range – adds rear parking sensors as standard, while moving to 16 inch alloy wheels and a revised steering wheel trim.
Punchy, economical drivetrain with available Super-All Wheel Control
The 23MY continues with the sophisticated 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine across the range. This generates 110kW at 5500rpm and a maximum 250Nm torque figure which is provided from only 2000rpm through to 3500rpm.
Designed to operate on 91-octane unleaded, the engine is paired with a CVT. Combined cycle fuel economy sits at 7.3L/100km for two-wheel drive variants, or 7.7L/100km for all-wheel drive models. CO2 emissions sit at 165g/km and 174g/km respectively.
Front-wheel drive is standard across the range, featuring Active Yaw Control. For those seeking the ultimate in traction, Mitsubishi’s renowned Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system is available on LS (excluding LS Black Edition) and Exceed model grades.
